i feel like people are forgetting a huge part of pokemon is the kid base audience i don’t think kids would wanna do the same repetitive things for the main story, hence why actually climbing each individual rank is for online

i’d admit i wouldn’t mind personally climbing each letter rank but i’m also aware that they need to make the game playable for their kid players and keep their attention...
especially since after a certain letter (somewhere closer to A i don’t remember) is when you get mega evolution like imagine making their players wait that long to get such a thing 😭😭
again i would only care abt this if the player base was for only adults but bc pokemon is so love by adults and kids and being able to appeal to kids is what keeps Pokemon alive for every generation
