The basic structure of this game is pretty much just

StS

BUT

Cards don't have energy costs

Instead you have a GRID

And to play cards you need to fit them on the grid

The lit up portion of the grid is the part the enemy is attacking so I need to fit defense runes into that part of my grid to get block

So I put down starfall here which does damage and has a defense rune

play a few more cards

And now my grid is full so I'm done

So now just the act of spending energy is a PUZZLE

And then as you advance down the path you can upgrade cards by shrinking their grid footprint

And enemies can drop junk on your grid that you have to work around

This shit just got dropped on my grid

It's a ghost card, so I can play my cards on top of it to destroy it, but doing so forces me to discard cards

So I gotta figure out how to get rid of it without sabotaging myself

And then you have cards that reactivate each turn for several turns but during that time they take up space on your grif
