They made a little thriller about a guy getting himself hired by a company as a cover for him breaking into and extracting information about an upcoming merger for his shadowy boss who definitely isn’t Jeff Bezos
Each episode is 5-9 minutes long and showcases a security threat or attack vector a real attacker might exploit. At the end of each one a narrator comes in and gets real explicit about what the training takeaway is supposed to be but that’s like twenty seconds.
Now is this show prestige television? No. It’s short, cliched, and the production values, while acceptable, are pretty mid. But it does have, like, characters! A story! Comedy! An emotional throughline! On the scale of corporate training videos, it’s unbelievable.
And the actual pedagogic content was solid too. I didn’t spot anything wrong, except for maybe a couple Hackerman moments that weren’t related to the main point.
So yeah if you work for a company that needs to make you do annual security training, talk to your security team and see if they can license this for next year. I’m genuinely shocked at how good it is.
