I ask having accumulated 40 recs already lol
but it never hurts to ask
Outside of a little Holmes, Poirot and Enid Blyton novels when I was a kid, I have read nothing, so assume even obvious recs are fair
The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair es buena, se te va como agua
es un misterio, con drama, aunque no tiene mucho thriller hm pero es buen misterio jajs
Any preferences for what kind of horror you like/don’t like? Or things like gore level?
gore is fine. eye scream and csa i avoid
Servant of the Underworld is a mystery set in ancient Aztec times. some fantasy mixed in with it.
I have many many horror recs but I don't know what flavor you like
i don't think i know either...
I loved The Monster of Elendhaven (like really really REALLY loved it)
so yes for creepy kids, creepy magic, deranged serial killers
Knock Knock Open Wide is horror with a lesbian couple as the main focus and I loooooved it
i actually really love The Dunwich Horror, The Colour Out Of Space and the Whisperer in Darkness, they're short-ish but excellently suspenseful and well written horror
and like the least Blatantly Racist of lovecraft's bullshit
The Case of Charles Dexter Ward is also really good but that one's a bit more difficult to stomach in some spots
sorry I didn't reply more properly before, I was on mobile. Thank you for the recs everyone! I'll be checking everything out
and lol 'a little less racist than usual' is a good thing for sure
