Hearing the voices of small children and thinking “hope their parents remembered the dinosaur scene. And chernobog.”
Oooh that sounds so cool! Have fun!
Duuude, I love shows like that, especially for Fantasia! Enjoy the epicness!
shows like that are amazing, and fantasia's an even better choice of one
a night on bald mountain is going to rule so hard
Ahhhhhh!!!! I’m jealous, Fantasia is my favorite ;-; have fun!
Fantasia is soooooooo good
Intermission - enjoying myself, but weirdly they’re showing scenes from both fantasia movies, and cut off a huge part of the centaur part. There’s also a segment with birds and moonlight I’ve never seen before? Shrug.
That bird and moonlight bit, if I'm to wager a guess, is the "Clair de Lune" segment animated for the movie but removed before release. IIRC the Pastoral symphony eventually replaced it, but it is weird that they merged 2000 in there, too
Maybe they wanted that concert experience akin to what Walt said, where the lineup changes each time? But yeah, I would have expected the whole movie
I have a feeling they’re trying to keep it kid friendly so it might mean no chernabog or Dinos. Show the t-Rex murdering a stegosaurus and dying in tar pits you cowards.
Aw man, I would have been disappointed, Rite of Spring is my favourite segment
There’s still a whole second half to go so we’ll see. But they’ll definitely still do sorcerers apprentice, can’t have Fantasia without it.
Yeah, that's the Gold Standard
I skip Rite of Spring more for my ifestiophobia than anything else lol
but man I LOVED Bald Mountain as a kid
Sooo the second half... wasn’t that great. The orchestra was off by a lot. Got to a point when a segment would end and they still had 30 seconds more music. And while I’m glad they played dance of the hours and sorcerers apprentice, they ended it with the flamingo yo-yos of all segments???
But I’m still glad I went and still enjoyed myself. Just think some choices were odd lol
Is it 'cause it was in the end credits of 2000? That is bizarre. Sadder about the synchronization issues with the orchestra, but I'm glad you still had fun
One thing I thought was funny/great is when Mickey showed up, the theater went wild, cheering and applauding lmao
