Pacing seems better so far. Bev's dad is super creepy.
The sink scene was much more effective than the 1990 movie.
I like that they're including some references to the Turtle.
I like the emphasis that Pennywise is everywhere in Derry, and even Bill's basement isn't safe. Also, it's creepy that he always has one eye on the fourth wall.
The Neibolt house is a really effective scene.
It's unsettling to watch Pennywise control or communicate with Derry through a children's TV show.
Beverly's father is even creepier than what I remember of him in the book.
Poor Richie, having to play Street Fighter 1.
Also, Beverly's dad might be dead.
"You know what these are? They're gazebos!!" I laughed out loud at that one.
I don't recall Beverly being kidnapped by Pennywise in the book. If that's a change, I'm not a fan of it.
For a second, I thought this adaptation would take a dark route and it was really Georgie that Bill just shot.
I winced at the blood oath scene. (Where Bill cuts everyone's palms)
It felt like Mike got less focus on this adaptation. Beverly got a good amount of focus, though.
I know part 2 is supposed to be three hours long, though I'm not sure how.
