[irl/medical stuff] so that bill i thought was a duplicate? yes and no. i got billed twice because they billed me for the anesthesiologist and the assistant, at the same rate, and instead of putting it all into one bill, they split it into even parts. ok but why?

why not just bill me all at once? i don't understand medical billing and it's frustrating.

did you do the "before I pay the rest of the bill I need to see an itemized receipt" thing?

Because I have heard people say that hospitals will cut down bills if you do that rather than say they're charging you like $50 for a bandaid

unfortunately there's nothing to itemize for anesthesiologists. but they did send me an itemized bill anyway, with 2 items lol. and i'm paying two anesthesiologists technically so DUPE BILL.

the hospital tho, they already discounted me a half-decent amount relatively speaking.
