I should consider trying to go through Ingram at some point, perhaps.
They changed their setup a few years ago and no longer charge a setup fee. They take a tiny percentage of each sale. You do have to buy your own ISBN through Bowker; no freebies from Ingram Spark. They've also initiated the Share and Sell links, where the general public can order books directly from them instead of a retailer.
Only drawback on direct sales is only one title can be bought per purchase. So, you can buy multiple copies, but not multiple titles per purchase.
Oh, in addition to ditching Google Books, I'm not offering returns on print copies for this one. I intend to go back and stop allowing returns on the first 7 books at some point, too. I'm tired of a small number of returns/canceled orders eating most of my royalties every year.
