she gave me another 2 weeks, so i may be back to work by that point. then, we'll see how i do in games and i'll adjust if necessary, but i think i should be okay.

real answer: i think it was a long piece, and the way I dragged my foot across it embedded it very deep, but because it was such a thin piece, it kept fracturing with each removal.
