I like to think about what my WoL's shards would be like so I was sort of thinking about that

anyway one could theoretically headcanon their WoL's 9th shard being like that, or even being one of the Endless that was recreated while their WoL was going through LM

and they unknowingly erase their own shard (though, it's pretty unlikely a shard of Azem would be happy being an Endless or confined to virtual Disneyland)

anyway I was also thinking about Cahciua, we don't know how she died and ultimately, it doesn't really matter but I was trying to logic it out

maybe that's why it causes the weird soul sickness thing with the feral souls

it is yeah, when the party first learns about infusing beast souls they immediately ask if the same thing happens

and it turns out the answer is yes, even non arcadion fighters are susceptible to it

it just happens less often with them because the souls they use are weaker and not used as frequently

Zoraal Ja also likely underwent a form of it, he was also using feral souls

so the ninth's azem might just be stuck in a regulator somewhere

Another option is they might have been an Arcadion fighter soul

it's easy to forget, but the ingame "lore" explanation for the WoL's allies in Arcadion fights is they're actually souls in storage they're allowed to use as allies for Arcadion fights

and that when the WoL won a fight, the souls that fought with them would be released

which might be a bit weird considering the Milala are actually from the Source

but we don't know if a Milala born in the 9th would be considered someone from the 9th or someone from the Source

it's hard to tell how the reincarnation thing works there

Like it seems like the answer is yes because she's an Endless and she says that she likes learning about new things INCLUDING technology (she specifically calls this out when you first meet her in LM)

but even without knowing about Endless after seeing how regulators work she'd oppose it

You probably do not need to wear a regulator to be made an Endless

one could be created from you using the memories of others

Sphene did not make regulators mandatory, so it's likely that memories of you could be erased from Alexandrians regardless of whether you wore one or not

otherwise Sphene probably would not be able to maintain her deathless paradise

If Sphene succeeded in killing the WoL she might have made an Endless of them

Anyway so it seems like Cahciua might have been made an Endless despite not wearing a regulator and man if that's the case no wonder she's mad about it (also she doesn't like the mass murder part)

New Variant Dungeon: The Merchant's Tale

New version: Variant Dungeon (Advanced)

Advanced is a no exploration mode where you fight 3 bosses in any order

Each boss in the Advanced mode gives rewards and defeating all 3 in a single run gives a bonus reward

You can enter with a party of 2-4 players with difficulty adjusting to the number. You can use variant actions

I think you need to clear Advanced before you can access Criterion so it probably falls between Variant and Criterion for difficulty
