Like, they have the soul of the dragon or whatever, but practically, they're just a human that gets extra stuff for killing dragons. They're not pallin' around with the dragons and going "Hello, fellow dragon, 'Tis I, the dragonborn!"

Which - I guess, I dunno, do dragonborn in D&D get along with dragons in any particularly special way, either?

they speak the same language as dragons and depending on setting and things like that there might be some kinship
