[wsf] I interview for the dock agent promotion on Wednesday morning before my shift.
latest #25
I want this promotion, but the stakes are low because I don't really, if that makes sense?
I love my job. I love my job because I have no real responsibility and no authority and every day is a clean slate with no long-term consequences for anything.
The promotion will kill that part of the job for me.
But I also want buy-a-house-someday money.
So if I get this promotion, sweet money. If I don't, sweet job. Win-win.
That said, I am prepping for it like finals week, so no more tags until Thursday.
Good luck! That's kind of where I am with going to the boats next year (if I go and they approve the transfer)
You'd like working on the boats.
And yeah, Agents earn just around AB level, or a little more.
The real killer is that agents get less time off than anyone else.
And I am sorta here for the time-off perks.
Time off is what you get if you work at the big dock with 10+ on-calls.
Got called today to ask if I wanted to take tomorrow off so an on-call could get their guaranteed hours.
Good luck with interview!
