ika being japanese for squid

and Monika says something like

"That's not how you pronounce my name at all"

"Besides, this gag makes no sense in translation"

then later

the game got a Japanese localization

and in that version, the second half of Monika's response is changed to

"Besides, this gag will give the translators a hard time"
