1. What is an Official Verified Account?

To help users identify which accounts are authentic and trustworthy, Plurk has established an official verification system. Accounts that pass the verification process will display a verified badge next to their username.

2. Benefits of Becoming a Verified Account

Get a stylish badge!
Let other Plurkers know your identity is trustworthy.
Prevent impersonation and build a professional image.
Plurk will recommend your account to new users with similar interests.

On "Recommended Following" page, Plurk will recommend you to users with similar interests. (Still in testing, this feature will be unlock soon.)

3. Eligibility Criteria

If you wish to apply for verification, make sure your account meets the following criteria:

．Your account must be verified through both email and phone.
．Your account must be set to a public timeline.
．Your Karma score must be 50 or higher.
．You must have at least 500 fans/friends.

．Your profile must be complete, including a bio and profile picture.
．Your profile picture should feature your logo or an image associated with your organization.
．You must be an active Plurk user, with at least one login within the past 30 days.
．Your account must comply with the Terms of Service, Content Policy, and the Rules of Public Anonymous Forum.

Plurk reserves the right to revoke verification at any time based on the most recent status of your account.

4. Application Process

If you meet all the above criteria, you can apply by following these steps:

A. Go to the Official Verification page:

Web version: Click Verified Account, or find the link at the bottom of any Plurk page.
iOS app: Go to Settings / About Plurk to find the link.

Android app: (Currently in development, coming soon.)

B. Read the rules:

Please read the eligibility criteria and important notes carefully. Once confirmed, click Submit Application Form to proceed.

If you are already verified or have submitted before, you cannot apply again. To update your verification details or for any related questions, please contact Plurk.

C. Application Form:

The application form has three stages: Contact Info, Account Info, and Confirmation.

Contact Info page:
Enter your organization, company, or personal contact details to verify your identity.

The verification process will use your currently logged-in Plurk account. If your account fails validation for any reason, you can adjust your settings and click Update account status to retry.

Account Info page:
Select your Verified Account Category and Topics that best represent your content. These details help Plurk recommend you to the right audience, so more people can discover your plurks.

If none of the listed categories or tags fit your account, feel free to contact us and suggest new ones.

Confirmation page:

Double-check your information to ensure everything is correct. Confirm that you’ve read the verification overview, Plurk’s Terms of Service, and Content Policy, then complete the e-signature.

Once submitted, you cannot reapply or edit your form. Please make sure all information is correct before submission.

D. Confirmation and Review:

Regardless of the outcome, Plurk will send you a notification email when your application is submitted, approved, or denied.
