[dwrp] do you guys put opt outs on like, a player oocish journal or individual characters'? or does it vary

I do it for individual character as well
not the answer I was hoping for but I guess it makes sense

(LOL) sorry
A work around might be adding a link to a single large post for all your characters in their permissions?

any character who I think might receive opt outs, I put it on their journal. but I do have a general permissions post on my ooc journal that I link to on all my character journals (who don't have their own permission post)
My opt outs are usually just a copy paste form on the permissions but a link to a single link could make sense

I did whole little info posts including content warnings for my BotI characters, so I figured why not tag an opt-out onto that
I can't believe one has to "read" and "post" for this hobby, life is really unfair :-D

Opticon I mean... idk if that would necessarily be less work tbh :|a

I do it per character but very low effort, just "here's a post w/ screened comments where you can opt out if you need to" type thing

I try hard for every journal of mine to have:
- open post
- hmd (with screened comments so it can be used as an opt out if needed)
- either a link to my general permissions post, or a specific permissions post

if they're an OC I'll add some info on personality/history etc so people can tag with them easier

I put it on my character journal because often if someone's opting out of a character it doesn't have anything to do with the player, so it makes sense for it to be on each character.

I have one character that is strictly opt-in unless you're a canonmate because his backstory is all triggers and he's garbage, but he's also meme-only so no one's gonna tag him unless they want to.
i do it on individual characters depending on their canons
doggos wait what does 'depending on their canons' mean
well, some canons have more opt out things than others. the boys, for example. game of thrones. or sinners. things that are triggering for a multitude of reasons or powers / personality traits that might be off putting for some
i typically include a canon tw warning and opt-in / opt-out posts per characters like that because of it
Oh! I see! Right right good call
I guess warnings + opt out or hmd + opt out are two natural groupings
maybe we should all never interact on the internet then we don't need opt outs, how about that, and we just all take naps
cutting my dumb ass off from tags til I finish writing this fellowship application sorry for the relative delay my brain is all over the place today

I put it on every journal. hmds, I don't see used anymore and games have retired them. I do slap an opt-out on my permissions for characters in game and I have a baseline one for all journals

yeah I slam mine onto my permissions. I'm glad hmds have fallen out of favor bc I'm gonna be real, idgaf what random people think of how I play my character. anyone I actually rp with is welcome to give me feedback when actually talking to me!
hmds were fucking everywhere last time I RPed. it's really interesting how things trend out even in dw lol
in other news I submitted my hopeless app so it is tag o' clock
