I've been in love with this OP since I first heard it. Almost needless to say, I wasn't exactly a fan of it being changed halfway through… but hey, what can ya do⸮

I also wasn't trying to catch up with this in time for season two to drop in a few months, but it still happened. Funny how things work out. I probably still won't watch week-to-week, but at least it's an option in case I want to try.

Other things

⁃ Still overall enjoying the Fujiko series, but episode six was something that I could not jive with on multiple levels. They can't all be bangers, I guess.

⁃ I was led to watch Ayakashi because it led to the creation of Mononoke. I didn't know what I expected, but it was not for the animation to be that. It kinda reminds me of how things looked back in the Eighties, but not animated as cheaply.

If this first episode is indicative of the series' overall quality, I can see why the episodes that spawned Mononoke were redone for that series.
