[pet update] okay also again here for people who aren't following the big plurk - he's okay. he made it out of surgery. we're not out of the woods yet but they're very optimistic about his odds.
he was trying to headbutt the vet and asking for pets.

the way i have spent all day alternating between crying over domino and crying over how incredibly kind and generous people are

but i was worried because their bellies felt full and the reason they felt unusually full is because they ate all the food domino normally does so they were stuffed.

ive always played a game in the mornings with these morons
'a game' in that both annie and domino do the exact same thing
when i wake up if i feel a cat sniffing at my face i go, "which one are you" and domino will SMASH his face into my nose because that's how he says hello and that's his accepted morning, and annie will just delicately sniff my face and then lay on it. the only way i can tell which cat it is is by whose fur im touching

yes, they all are no matter how old they are.
which is why they have a gravity feeder now. because there is only so much i can take of her getting upset the second there is no food in that dish

I've been thinking about getting one of those because Ayame is kinda food insecure and needs food in the bowl. Has it worked well?
i've personally never had an issue with them overeating
they eat until they're full and then leave it until they're hungry again
that's good to hear! She only does it when she is stressed, so at least it's not all the time, but I have seen her go check it. Not eat, just check. It's the oddest thing.
