also if we don't work at over 100% production every single day they're gonna make us work a Saturday too

idk, they're paying us time and a half

but i cannot opt out

i think it's somewhere in our contract that we agree to work overtime

the most annoying thing about this i just realized: because i am working two extra hours on Friday, the store will be closed so I can't even go shopping after work

also to put this into perspective, during the Pandemic we were often being worked 60 hours a week, including Saturdays

the union finally made them knock that off i think, or maybe that was another time...

anyway since we're currently 14k machines down from where they want us to be i guess this is classed as 'emergency overtime'

i just wish their decisions didn't feel so much like a punishment... and also that the high volume line could have come back sooner

last week Tuesday we were only 10k in the hole

it 1000% feels like punishment for having a week off that THEY forced on you!

I wish it was illegal, but considering the hours asked of tech people and special effects people, I guess it's not

they can't pack them fast enough to keep up with our speed

they want a thousand machines a day but the press can only make enough parts per day for 800 machines

and my coworker's computer stopped working so she doesn't know where to put the ground wires on each machine

this definitely isn't going to work

but it will be fun to watch them figure that out

people are definitely going to quit of they keep this up for the whole two months... at least we're guaranteed to get Thanksgiving off
