I do like my multicrack but W is...pretty much the unit I was looking for when trying to make my story team. OOPSIE.

the fact of the matter is that 2 star units are just unable to match up to later content. it SUCKS but theres a reason it's been all three stars

like legit season 6 has NO 2 stars

and tbf given we're already halfway through the sinners, it makes sense Dante isnt pulling weaker ids out anymore

OH HEY the new Ishmael id is hanafuda! and she's sinking tremor, which is neat. it seems like dual status identities are whats going to become normal from now on.

she's also a discarder unit but works in a different way than the other 'main' discard units, i.e. the knowledge monks

I do understand why they're having her mostly be 'power up via matching' due to liking hanafuda myself, but i do wish there was also a mechanic relating to the other combos you can make beyond just season matching

again tho that'd be waaaay too much trouble so I get it. it's also nice her mechanic doesn't revolve around 'hope you get a skill three, dont use it so you get max 3 insight, put defense on the bottom slot and just use the top slot until battle is over or you're dead'

with this it turns into 'do I risk using defense to hold a higher ranking skill but make it so I dont get to play a hand this turn in hopes of higher damage next turn, or play a lower ranking combo but build up to Big Damage?' which is extremely like playing actual hanafuda lol

this does also make her STUPIDLY BUSTED for md given you can literally just wipe her deck and only put in s3s

hell if Im reading this right she's a new killer for solos even without self heal egos (she just BARELY misses being able to fuel bygone days, which was probably on purpose lol)

of course in md thats a non-issue, which is why I've already seen MD extreme solo runs with her

can't wait to try using her on normal with my sinking team once I get kod rodiya

greg...I took him out for a spin and he's actually a pretty decent support unit. he gets a free attack once a turn if you knock an enemy into 20% hp range, which means he plays very well with other bleed units since they tend to be less powerful in exchange for MOVE AND YOU DIE

he's bleed tremor with on use coin power conditionals, haste, AND a status effect that inflicts bind once per stack

basically he has the potential to rev up and hit like a motherfucker and Im sure he'll SHRED bosses under the right conditions, but in md play he really is more support in that he helps your other units finish off whatever they're working on

which again helps due to bleed ids being more fragile and less powerful / needing more time for their shit to ramp up and pop off

pretty much when season 5 becomes shardable, my future bleed team of 7 will be the la manchaland 5, capitano greg and whoever else works well by then. I do have n Corp ryoshu but boy she's hard to keep alive lmao

ultimately I'd like to get dieci Hong lu and solemn lament yi sang, but I won't say no to spice bush if he shows up in a future roll

butler Otis might also be nice if I can get her

if I could get everyone I wanted, it would be dieci Hong lu, solemn lament yi sang, wild hunt, hanafuda Ishmael and KOD rodiya, with others slotting in wherever (butler outis and Edgar Greg due to their synergy with wild hunt probably)

tl dr my future plan is kod rodiya, then solemn lament next walp

which will probably be next season, so I guess I may as well just get all my three star sangs to level 4 and level 4 his base ego

honestly Im not that interested in units past that and red eyes and pentience ryoshu, and even ryoshu is getting slowly outclassed for other units

while the full stop boys are neat Im not chomping at the bit for them, if that makes sense.

they're a 'if they come up, neat. otherwise Im not gonna go out of my way to shard them'

and tbh they're so common on supports that if I need them I can literally just grab them there

philclair would also be neat but given he's a babysit burn unit I'm not, like, super interested either
