I made it through the day. Mostly because it was very slow (thank my stars) and I didn't have to do much.

Now, I've held off as long as I could. It's time for my Christmas Playlist.

OH BTW. I got an email requesting dates/times I'm available for a phone interview from one of the jobs I applied for!

AND the recruiter said "Dear Julien" in it. 😭

So I'm very tired and feel icky af, but I'm in a decent mood despite it all.

The phrasing of "could I get" or "can I get" is so deeply unpleasant to me. Most people who phrase their requests that way IME never say "please" either, so that makes it worse. With a "please" it's forgivable, at least.

The way the HR recruiter said my name in this interview was so... Gentle. I am Emotional.

The job sounds fine? It's basically just scanning documents, using the same file management system I already use now. 🤷🏻 And the schedule may be slightly challenging if there are canceled bus routes, but I'd find a way to manage.

Only real downside seems to be learning the reception desk, which scares me a little, but I think I could manage. It'd only be for lunch breaks, really.

I'd love to be called Julien all the time. People here can't even get Des right, I don't trust them. =/

I actually don't understand how it's so difficult for the fucking secretaries to catalog these scan jobs correctly as "return" or "shred" like come on, it's two fucking options.

Print job: needs letter tabs going to quad letters
Butthead: omg that's so many tabs
Me: there's only 26 letters in the alphabet
Butthead: oh right

It's less than 200 tabs cuz it's not going all the way to ZZZZ.
