Took me a bit, but I just realized how in the Signal from Tölva lore book, you can get parallels of the Robots being 1st world countries and humanity as 3rd world countries. Where the actions of the few mean the punishment of all humanity in that sector (small resistance group led to the justification of the destruction of the entire solar system).
And there are robots/machines that see the action as obhorrent, but it's still brushed under the rug. The fact that the machines are always actively driving humanity back from any progress with the fear mongering that humanity is going to erase them.
Humanity being seen as lesser, but machines working with humans, and humanity reaching the stars before making it clear that their current situations are because they are kept without resources.
idk, maybe I'll write a better meta some other time. No one cares about the game, and I admit to still have to properly analyze the actual story in the game itself. People theorize that we play as a human mind, but I'm not so sure.
and obviously, it's not a perfect parallel, machines are inherently better at certain things in stereotypical fictional robot way, and that's not true irl, we are all himans in the same way. But I guess it's something akin to... the nazi super soldier thing trope. ???
where it's a play/reflection about how Nazi saw themselves as the better humans, despite not. 1st world countries see themselves as smarter and more technologically advanced, regardless of whether true or not. Without realizing much of it is either made up or a result of their own country's actions. (US having a hand in many of the south's dictatorships.)
