I MANAGED TO WITHHOLD THE TEARS UNTIL THE VERY LAST CHAPTER, UNTIL THE POINT WHERE THETIS PERFORMS THE FUNEREAL RITES ON ACHILLES TOMB AND SAYS 'GO TO HIM, HE WAITS FOR YOU" AND THEN SUDDENLY MY TEARS ARE OVERWHELMING AND FLOWING

AND of course these tears come the day that my cramps are at an ALL TIME HIGH

i love tears as long as they are over fictional characters

captain_flyboy: It was a very complicated book, it wasn't like the Many Husbands of Evelyn Hugo where it was like a non-stop torrent in which I could not stop crying, but like I could feel the tears build up and I was wondering why they were not coming

in fact there were points where I hated all the characters even Patrocules and Achilles, in which is the mark of a really good book

I mean that's pretty accurate to the source material
