SOOOOO many details left out, so many holes. The only thing I could respect was Will Smith. And that dog. What a friggin sweetie.
haha i've never seen it... watched the first half, but the person had a bad copy and it cut out before anything happened...
and the original plot of i am legend is AWESOME... too bad it was butchered for that adaptation...
there were so many things that got emphasis and then..were just forgotten. fortunately there was someone there who had read the book and
explain what was supposed to be happening.
i haven't read it, but it seems like a LOT could have been added to be more loyal to some sub plot or something
wil smith did an amazing job but he's just awesome. it's too bad the plot had some holes in it tho
there was OBVIOUSLY a primary zombie/vampire guy (charles argued us to the death that they were vampires and not zombies, and wouldn't even
compromise with vampire zombies).
but they totally opted out of even telling his story ...so why make him significant?
in the book he was a major force in all of this.
(according to our friend).
ill try to not give too much away if you feel like wasting your time with this movie
nah i'm familiar with the book... it was an old movie, too
thanks for the shielding, though
i liked the movie but i havent read the book. i do feel i wouldnt like it if i did.
supposedly the girl will smith was working on was the main zombie dude's girlfriend which is why they made such a big deal to fuck him up
after all that. before they sort of left him alone mostly.
well the point is to show that we condemn what we do not understand...
will smith was called legend among the vampires because he would slaughter them in their sleep like a boogeyman...
lol, i get what the movie was SUPPOSED to be. it just wasn't.
it could have been friggin amazing. the intent was in the right spot, just pooooorly executed.
;-; when i saw that he had the dog as a friend.. i was like "damnit.. i know something is going to happen to that poor thing."
i never read the book tho.. but the movie was eh
same here. i was just trying to figure out how soon. i dont get why he didnt just start testing on his dog. made sense to me - way to be a
yeah josh read the book and has been disappointed for ages that it's never been done proper justice despite its multiple movie adaptations
at least im not alone in this! the movie wasnt built at ALL to make you feel sympathy for the creatures
the movie was an atrocious adaptation, i actually wrote a paper on it 2 years ago. UGHHHHHHH makes me so mad
Brad have you actually read the book? I think I may have missed that information
nah - there was someone there who had read it and ranted for a while after the movie was over. it filled in SO many of the friggin holes.
I hated that they didn't mention vampires once. NOT ONCE! Will Smith is a great actor but that character is NOT a fit, successful black man
man they spent so long emphasizing his 'fit' ness. like..a full 30 second shot of him doing pull ups. wtf?
I thought it was more of an "inspired by" movie rather than a "based on" movie
kina, in the book he was middle aged, out of shape, and described as anglo-saxon very specifically, former military, and he doesn't
have a family OR a dog. but I won't elaborate
hahaha awww i'll definitely have to read it then. that profile makes more sense actually, considering his background
when we were watching we were like 'wait he's a dad, a military guy.. a freaking doctor AND a body builder?!"
hahaha, well, he's military, they are required to keep up a strict regiment. and if i was the last man on earth against a pack of vampzombi
es, I'd work a little on my fitness as well
but the movie does move really quick....not alot of exposition outside of the main character.
