plurk had a mobile or text msg client and maybe a firefox addon, the yahoo messenger thing doesn't work most of the time

that is the barrier for entry Twitter has: they are spending a ton of money on SMS
heard Twitter recently maxed out their SMS agreement so they won't have to pay more past a certain ceiling
heard from dev that after they work on scaling Plurk they will add all the good stuff. Up time before fun time = good in my book!
doesnt matter how well sms on twitter works if they have crap uptime.
just saying, if anyone wants to match the SMS services Twitter offers, they have a huge burn rate ahead of them and will need major funding!
