Recovering from Hurricane Ike. Everybody's OK, but the house is not livable. Need to find a roofer and a hotel with electricity.

I got a tarp over the biggest hole as soon as I noticed the first leak, which was an adventure.

Part of the ceiling in the living room collapsed on the baby's cradle a few hours later. Luckily I was holding him.

There are some other leaks too, but will have to let the roofer find and fix those.

Unfortunately, we got quite a bit of water in the living room and office, in addition to the drywall damage.

Thanks everyone, for your concern. We have an adjuster coming on Thursday, and will hopefully be back home in a few weeks.

yeah, you will need to scrub down the all the 2x4's and such to get rid of the mold... not a fun job.
