apparently one of the dogs trailed a puddle of water from their water bowl to the middle of the kitchen floor. Normally, there is a rug...

under their bowls, but it was in the wash this morning. I didn't see the puddle and went sliding across the floor into the counter

OK, that's it! Today a rug goes under the dog water. I always fear someone will fall on the spills.

rubber mat on top of rug... remove rug to wash, still have rubber mat with a lip to prevent spillage. save lives.
