varies: what is the purpose for the camera?

I've seen teachers setup cameras (turned off) so students behave. Would love to have cameras setup in classrooms for sick kids to attend,

but staff doesn't like the idea of content being recorded... hmm

I've been watching classroom videos on YouTube. Some are "official" while many are covert recordings made by students.

Some teachers seem to play to the student cameras, some seem oblivious. I wonder if they know they'll wind up online.

Is the expectation of privacy in the classroom even realistic this day and age?

seems like privacy doesn't apply anymore anywhere - on camera or off, act like the world is still watching and hopefully the good goes viral

I wish more teachers would use their own cameras to record their teaching. Nothing improved my instruction more than watching myself teach!

we would use the recordings to teach outside the classroom via web tools and deliver more one-on-one during the school day

Part of the problem is securing permission to post video of students. Many people are skittish about images of kids online.

With tight budgets; what if one educator could service multiple districts via cameras in the classrooms?

sharing teachers through camera links is a bad idea. But that's just me. I'd rather have a flesh & blood teacher in the room with me.

if you can have both, imagine the possibilities. We have an EC teacher who records his lessons with the doc cam and his kids watch it when

needed for reteaching freeing him up to work more one on one with others in the room
