Easiest thing is to output it to HTML and embed it in an iFrame or embedded JS

soooo - how would you suggest doing that with the plurk widget java? I think it would be an easy way to keep up with one's conversations

I'd have to look at the plurk widget first

where is this Java widget anyhow? Are you referring to the Plurk timeline?

Under the profile settings there is a widget tab - it's made to cut and paste to code on your blog / website / whatever

a basic iGoogle widget ready, just needs to get the collateral required for publishing (like a thumbnail).

, is that something I should be working on? (please reply w/ @ + shawnf - I'm trying to see if it sticks out in the plurk timeline

if you want to publish a little thumbnail on a public web server then go for it...just give me the URL when you've done it

- one problem - your userID is still in the xml so the gadget comes up as you only
aeden

doh...let me see if I can fix that
aeden

try this:
hosting.gmodules.com/ig/...
aeden

once you've added it go into settings and use your user_id...unfortunately it has to be the numeric id...username won't work
aeden
says

you can grab your user_id from your own widget url...maybe I'll make a generic "embed your own JS" at some point.

VERY NICE - works great.. but you may want to replace your ID with 18757 in the code (plurkbuddy's)
shawnf

and let me know when you do - I'm not going to tell anyone about it 'till you have a chance to make the switch

you're right, new URL:
hosting.gmodules.com/ig/...
