Google Bookmarks and Notebook labels are all linked up. Tags are sync'd. That's a nice little feature.
I wonder how many have used Google Bookmarks. Non-collaborative online bookmarking. I can see how that would come in handy for class links
teach42: As you probably already know, Diigo has setup free education accounts so classroom groups can be created for sharing.
Can create multiple notebooks, divide them into sections, and then publish them to share. That's pretty sweet. I need to play more w/this.
I used it, and Yahoo's version, quite a bit early on. Now I use delicious bc I don't care if others see them, but it was paving technology.
(i.e. it opened the doors to what came later.)
True dat. I'm still a delicious man. tried to move to Diigo, but it didn't take for some very low level reasons (probably user error!)
Mentioning Chrome. I've stopped using it, even though I really do like it. I just need a few plugins and then I could make the switch.
Didn't make sense to need to keep two browsers open full time.
Browser plugin for Firefox/Flock: Google Docs bar. If you use docs alot, keep easy access to 'em. Combined with Gears, Docs is more viable
Offline makes it MUCh easier to use as a primary office tool.
Speak of the devil, he's switching to talk about Gears right now.
I had problems accessing DE Streamathon via Chrome. I had to switch to FF3.
Chrome has lots of potential, but I can't use it 100% yet, and I won't switch back and forth. Hard enough now to open IE when I have to:
Interesting. I didn't have trouble with Streaming myself. Did with Plurk. Somebody on the Streamathon was using Chrome in Webex!
He's FLYING through different browser plugins. A few new ones to me, but I think he's losing people. Some have never installed a plugin
