Google Sites = JotSpot Heh, I don't think I ever made that connection

Wanted to create digital yearbook for her daughters Kindergarten class. Created an album for daughter.

Asked teachers to upload all photos into her daughters web album.

Private account between teacher and parent. Then she used that to create a video yearbook. How cool!

Showing one of Lucy Gray's workshop pages that she created. She embedded in ALL of common craft's videos from YouTube (not just links)

Basically you can use Sites to pull together all the other Google Apps (Docs, Maps, Forms, Spreadsheets, etc).

So what's the specific difference between this and a wiki? Or are wikis becoming outdated because there are may collaborative site builders?

BTW, love the fact that she isn't just talking about each point, she's bouncing OUT of the presentation and showing concrete examples.

Each Google Apps account gets at least 10GB of storage in Sites itself.

Which begs the question... When was the last time you ran out of space on anything besides a hard drive or iPod??

Google sites IS a wiki. The only negative I've found is that you can't easily embed ANYTHING you want into it. Easy to embed google products

but maybe not others.

She mentioned that. She also mentioned that there were some work arounds, but I didn't get a chance to see what those were.
