That's one drawback to wide-open public Web2.0 used in schools. No way to filter out vulgarity, violence, racial comments, etc.

sharon_elin you are absolutely right. Which is precisely why I prefer to use those examples of how students can be better digital

citizens and filter through that stuff and know that it will always be on the net. What you do with it is more important than the fact it is

on the net.

younger students aren't worldly/mature enough to monitor their reactions; older students can discuss & choose to filter. We teach awareness!
