there are a lot of resources who know a little about those subjects, you should be able to get a lot of help if needed.

on a marathon of website buildout (i.e. what you mentioned above + PHP code fixes and mucking about with MySQL database)

This was my textbook for 2 of my classes. It's good if you like to have a reference book

at hand. Some of the stuff is explained much deeper than alot of the web references I've found.\
