interesting. I have an upcoming 5k on the beach & was thinking of doing it barefoot. Doesn't it cause the rest of your body pain, though?

walks around all day without shoes, but I'd be afraid to run with no shoes on...one sharp rock and I'd be done.

YES, you can really hurt yourself if you don't start off very slowly. I have not been able to run for about 8 weeks - at least not regularly

I have spent the last week walking in nothing but minimalist shoes while walking the dog, walking dd to school, etc and already my feet

start walking barefoot before you start running and even then you have to take it slow. I only did 1.5 miles today and I'll stay at that
