how come?

the passports.gov.au website is driving me bonkers! Have so much stuff to organise for overseas trip & not enough time

that website needs some work!

I tweeted that you can go into the post office & pay for express delivery

when I got my passport some years ago, the postmaster lost my documents when I went to collect them. Took him 45mins to locate them ...

... was apparently a new record for him, according to the other staff there.

well it wasn't in passport form at that point, just my pics, application etc. He'd "held onto it" while I went to get some supporting docos.

I just went direct to the office when I needed a passport in a hurry after my grandmother died. Got mine and daughters in a few days.
