American Schools teach to the lowest common denominator of student. When I went to school if a student was not up to par, they went into

a special "skills" class to help them get up to speed. Now, they leave them IN the same class and teach to their level.

I remember my high school senior year in Literature class when a student stood up and said ...

our school system has not found that to be conducive to learning on all levels, they have "specialized" classes so all students learn...
