exactly, and for heaven's sake be honest!!
I can honestly say NO on ALL those counts
I can honestly say NO as well. We were much better off in 1999-2000. Family - yeah. Economy? - hell yeah. International concerns -- yeah
What I don't get is all this political BS. I mean really THIS IS THE ONLY QUESTION.
you and me both
gecko68, so NO on all accounts
What also urks me is that you post "Obama is a socialist" and there are 100's of replies, ask a REAL question... what do we have 6?
You all are the only honest ones.
gecko68 as if socialism is some horrid thing...
Look, it's because people like to ARGUE - they like sensationalism.
Your question is boring and common sense . . . where's the fun in that?
It's not boring and common sense!!! (Start Argument here)
Wait a minute, I wonder what would happen if you plurked "McCain is a socialist."?

to both those responses.
I think this is a great Plurk and I would reply if I was living there
very precise and straight to the point
starwish, It would be very Mavericky of you if you answer the country / world portion od the question.
I'm better off, family's better off, country's pretty much the same - no major decline/improvement, the world is worse off,
esp the African continent
Well that's cause Singapore sent only 161 troops to Iraq. BTW there is still 1 left there according to wikipedia.
Singapore is sandwiched between Islamic nations and being an American ally.
Don't think our neighbours liked us being too involved in the war.
it saddens her how 8 years of Bush has caused the world to look at us as though we are all a stupid as the damned President is
asKatKnits the world has not liked Americans for awhile now. Bush just made us look even more selfish
We need more diversity in our political choices
To me, its important to know that even though we vote our representatives in, its not like they let us "tell" them how to vote on bills.
thats true. When America was under Clinton, my parents had a positive view of your country but it went downhil after Bush
We, as Americans, have NO SAY. We can call, write, email, it doesn't mean squat. So hating America doesn't do any good. Hate the Bush Admin
"When Clinton Lied, Nobody Died"
Just a messy dress

There is always lying in politics it is the nature of the beast
thought Clinton was a good leader
I did too. Besides Americans can't even name the 3 branches of their own government
Clinton was good, our former PM was close friends with him
I saw Clinton Speak (after his presidency) locally. He is extremely smart, and well spoken.
not only can they not name the 3 branches, they do not know what any of them do

The executive branch has all the power lately...kind of scared and the Federal Government is to powerful too
The Executive Branch, The Judical Branch, and the Olive Branch
They think "Checks and Balances" is a banking function
and they most certainly ascribe to my least favorite method of budgeting... **hey, we still have checks, we must still have money**
American Schools teach to the lowest common denominator of student. When I went to school if a student was not up to par, they went into
a special "skills" class to help them get up to speed. Now, they leave them IN the same class and teach to their level.
I remember my high school senior year in Literature class when a student stood up and said ...
"Why do Shakespeare talk like that, why don't he speak English"
our school system has not found that to be conducive to learning on all levels, they have "specialized" classes so all students learn...
