I'm just concerned with the old wiring in this house I'm staying in...wish I had my UPS with me. Of course, the battery in it died anyway

the first place I lived in up here had old wiring... there wasn't even a hole for the 3rd prong on my UPS (the grounding wire). A

and it had fuses... that blew in some part of the house a couple of times a month... I called the place the "House of Doom"....

the basement was super scary...

in my last house you couldnt use multiple appliances in kitchen. Microwave, toaster, dishwasher, mixer - any combination would

blow circuit breaker. Also, couldnt dry your hair at the same time you were heating up flat iron. Well, you could if you left the light off.

eh so so. Not playing so much. There's no 3 prong outlets in this house...just these adapters you screw in so they supposedly get grounded

it's a fine house, good location, it's just old

knows your pain with the lack of the 3 prong outlets.... had old wiring in the first place I lived up here.

made sure that all later apartments had newer wiring and was finally able to use my UPS again. (it didn't like the adapter thing)

This house was built in 1968 and I think only one bathroom and the kitchen have 3 prong outlets. My bathroom doesn't even hae outlets.

I stood in there soaking wet with a hairdryer for a long time before accepting that I would have to dry my hair in my son's bathroom.
