Scotland's refusal to send two officials to testify at a US Senate hearing on the Lockerbie bomber would indicate there’s something to hide.
Even though I think it's wrong that Megrahi was released, the US Senate has no right to summon officials of a foreign
government to appear before them. All papers related to the matter are to be published,
the Senators should accept that if a proper inquiry is to be held into the affair, then it should be in Edinburgh rather then Washington.
