slips out from another tree not too far away and makes her way over. "Thank you again."
looks up at her, "You're welcome. When you were in the library before you were looking for information about venom, and so I did a subject_
search on the international library database and found this book in a library in another city."
didn't think she would go out of her way like that... "And that book...has information about the venom?"
nods, taking the old, leather bound volume out of the envelope and handing it to her. "It has information about what it does, and what you
do if you're bitten to lessen the effects. There doesn't seem to be an actual cure, but you can get some relief."
takes it, running fingers over the cover "Thank you...I know much too well what it does. It's the immunity to it I'm interested in." That, _
and her body was much to used to the venom. It affected her more strongly and quickly than it did others despite her being a demon. She had_
two certain vampires to thank for that...thankfully she'd killed them long ago.
takes out her sandwich and takes a bite, watching her look at the book. "I feel silly for getting that book now, there's been so few_
vampires, I feel silly I fell for all the hype."
glances at her briefly, paging through the book. "You say there's been so few vampires...but vampires is all I seem to see. They're _
everywhere..." Like a plague.
"Really? I've only seen two, and they're both nice to me. I go for a walk every evening, I even sleep with my bedroom window open."
reads over the types of venom, which she knew already "That's...probably because that other vampire bit you like he did. It's kind of like_
saying you're taken and someone else's...personal food source. Except that he apparently doesn't feed from you."
"Vampires do that?" stares at her. "Alfred only bit me that one time. He didn't even use both fangs. He hasn't done it since."
looks over to here. Humans were so...naive. "They do alot worse than that. Did he say why he bit you that one time?"
"Actually, he did it because I didn't believe he was a vampire."
stares at her "So he bit you...but didn't take any blood..." Aside from the fact that any human could have done that..
"Oh, he took blood! He took enough it made me dizzy and lightheaded. I called in sick to work the next day I felt so weak."
that makes more sense. "It was probably then, that he marked you..."
"He doesn't know much about being a vampire. He didn't even know he had venom. How does a vampire mark you?" Becoming more curious now.
figures that much. These newborns were so useless... "They just..do. I would assume something like venom but differently when they bite you.
_But I don't know the specifics" Ugh, this was bringing up old memories...fun.
"Does the venom make you ... like them, like you're always happy to see them again? I've even kissed him."
if this whole...vampire-human couple thing is contagious. "No. One type of venom will make you lust for him until..well yea. I would assume_
some form of attachment would come with the marking though. But not what you're describing..."
"I see, then it's just me liking him." finishes her sandwich. "Are you finding the information you need in there?"
holds up a finger, reading one particular section. Alot of the things in here would kill her if she tried it. Damn these things aimed _
towards human use. "Yes...it seems immunity is out of the question" Unless she wanted death "But, there's a way so that it won't affect me_
"It's better than nothing," sips her juice.
hums "Yes, it is..." She didn't know how she would get the venom itself. She couldn't very well ask a vampire to give her a bottled sample.
looks at her watch. "I will need to head back to work soon. Did you have enough time? If you stay in the library you can continue to read_
the book, but because it's a rare book it can't leave the library officially."
pauses, reading one last section "If that's alright with you, I'll come back to the library and continue..."
"That will be fine. " finishes her juice. "And I need to go back now. "pulls out the manila envelope to put the book inside.
hands her the book, already starting to think how she could collect what she needed.
"Thank you," slips the book back inside the envelope. "I will see you back at the library. "turns and heads in that direction.
nods "See you there.." She made her own way off, and would meet her three but..she could use a snack inbetween.
