I realized what I don't like about Plurk. It attempts to be a chatroom without actually being as free flowing and real-time as a chat room.
but you don't have to invilve the entire room in a coversation either
In many chatrooms there were channels and whispers and all sorts of ways to deal with that issue. Not all chat rooms suck in the same way.
I actually really liked IRC and still somewhat do, though I'm not active in any channels anymore.
I used to really like Yahoo chat (I hung out in Tennessee:4) but I'm better now.
i also really like the clique feature... works great
