Seems to me it would only be good for supplemental discussions/assignments, etc... And you would have to keep it dedicated only for class.

I have a science lab that teaches k-6. Would like to test with my class and possibly move to having a school page.

Pros: current & a way to share info & interact. Cons: keeping info appropriate, monitoring, having to keep on top of it

I think you would definitely want a page, not an account.

pages allows you to control who can post on the wall. They are very easy to setup too.

I have a person account, but am exploring the possibilities of using FB for school purposes. I am trying to look at all sides of the issue.
