view manual, exit installer, UNINSTALL, or Play Burning Crusade. there IS no 'install' option anywhere, even though the booklet says to

'double click the installer application to copy the game to the hard drive'. When I try to click Play Burning Crusade, it just loads up

my normal game.. not installs it!

it sounds like you already have TBC installed, but that it's not assigned to your account. That would be my first guess.

I think that's it - you'd do it on your Battle.net account page

that's probably how. The launcher includes all of the game files, but only the ones you have activated via key are accessible.

try activating your BC key and see if that fixes it

make sure your launcher is closed, activate the BC account key, then fire up the game again through the launcher. it might patch a bit

you'll know that it's loading up the BC game files because you should get BC graphics on the loading screens, and the BC cinematic

Ok.. I got, "Success! the Burning Crusade was added to your account." Now to try launching..

Ok, it just started the game as normal, no patch, download or install

no change in opening cinematic or load screen graphics? try making a new character and see if you have the draenai and Belfs?

I hope that the whole nightmare download got you the whole thing right up to LK but you had to activate, as meara said.

yep, you've got it. Now when you add WOTLK, same thing. Activate your key first, then fire up the game

if you don't have game files installed it will ask you for them. Otherwise you're just unlocking your access to stuff that's already there

that is SO GREAT to hear, I've been dreading those installs, its awesome to know I don't have to actually install them

now all I have ahead of me is the Cataclysm monster download.. you realize that week is going to sucks, as millions d/l the patches

that's why they've been adding the Cata game files into the game slowly. On launch day, thee should be some minimum patching, but that's it

it will still be buggy and crazy of course, and the servers will probably be wonky, but they'll at least have done some prep work

I hope so, I haven't seen a patch in awhile though
