I have a teacher going on maternity leave who would like to be able to send an email/text message to parents from home.

I'd also like to use it for a group that I work with - outside of school.

I would just add the phone's email address to my Contacts. the email comes across as a text.

You'd need to know everyone's cell phone carrier, but it would work: www.emailtextmessages.co...

The hardest part: knowing the carrier's email domain. AT&T is txt.att.net. Verizon is vtext.com (I think). That's the trickiest part.

There must a website reference that shows all the carrier addresses somewhere!

I do it from my Email account.
