oh nooooes! not ANOTHER novella. it just started tonight & will be on at 10:00pm until mid-june.

but this one is really weird. brazilian-made, 1/2 of it takes place in india. it is dubbed in spanish.

1/2 of the characters are latino, 1/2 indian. some of the latinos wear indian garb and vice versa.

and, remember, tit's dubbed in spanish, so there's no accent to give a clue. first hour, they introduced 20 characters.

good point bo. but it wouldn't be airing here in the bay area if it weren't in spanish. and i don't speak portuguese!

dubbing has gotten a little better in recent years, esp. in hit animated films. shrek & finding nemo come to mind.

given a choice, i prefer films in the original language. but i enjoy switching around the audio & subtitles 7 often watch more than once.

since it's not cable or pbs, but a spanish language over the air broadcast channel. this is what we get.

there are various asian channels too. i've watch a few korean soaps w/english subtitles recently. & have loved japanese soaps for years :-)

hmmm. maaaaybe they do. the korean ones certainly do, which blew my mind because korean men are even 'tougher'
