Pleated skirts are really easy. Take your waist measurement, multiply it by three

then along the top with a ruler or tape measure go along marking with a pen, marker, chalk, whatever, making even marks

sometimes I'll mark the inside of the bottom as well, then fold it over on the lines

where do sew though?

then you pin the pleats in place and sew along the top of it with a baste stitch
