Do you usually get the flu, barryeee? Most people mistake stomach viruses for the "flu" and then claim that the flu shot doesn't work--but

we get flu shots around here (because P Ray is susceptible to pneumonia if he gets the flu) and we do our best to keep the flu away from

him. The flu shots seem to work--we don't get the respiratory flu viruses when we get the shot (but we do still get the stomach viruses.)

I have not had the flu the last 2 or 3 years, but this year, since I am around so many people, and it was free, I decided to get one.

I got my flu shot last week.

The flu shot is for the respiratory flu...not stomach flu. And if you've every had the respiratory flu, believe me you'll get the shot to

prevent it...or at least these strains of it!

Much different than the common cold, but I can't tell if it's different from pneumonia...never had that (knock on wooden head).

I had thought about having the kids get a Flu shot for the first time ever this year too Barry, for the same reason; they're around alot

more people now. Still sitting on the fence though. Do your kids get the shot too?

this year also covers H1N1 and believe me it's worth it just for that. I got H1N1 last year and was quarrantined for 1 1/2 weeks

It was not fun and 10 times worse than the regular respiratory crud

well I am not convinced of the swine flu's safety.. since the president oreder our county into a code "yellow" because of the swine flue

epidemic ( which I don't htink there ever WAS an epidemic)

they were able to put the swine flu vaccine out without all the proper testing including the proper time to test this.

Even doctors are refusing this because of lack of testing time.

I would hate to be one of the people who got this then 10 yrs down the road they come back saying OH by the way since we didn't test

this properly you actually have a 90% chance of having some kind of ________________.
