My cat is so spoiled! He absolutely refuses to drink out of a water dish. He must see me pour a small cup of fresh water.
Or he sticks his head in mine.
I just spent the last five minutes moving and covering my glass so he wouldn't drink out of it.
To make him stop, I had to pour him his own. 
We do the same for Buttons!
