Mei was asleep on the couch after a day of work and trying to keep the kids asleep.

*quietly walked when he saw she was asleep and leaned down, softly kissing her lips*

Mei smiled in her sleep and rolled over.

*he kneeled down next her and softly stroke her hair*

"Nnn..." Mei swatted at Kiku's hand, trying to keep on sleeping.

Mei slowly opened an eye and looked at him. "Nn.. What is it...?"

"Gomen nasai..to wake you my dear Mei-chan but I have something to tell you of importance..."

"Mmnn.." Mei sat up on her elbows and yawned.

*gently sat next to her* "I spoke to Ivan-san today, Nii-san's um....lover.."

Mei blinked a few times. "Why'd you talk to him?"

"Because...he can speak to Nii-san on our behalf."

"Did... you tell him about the twins?"

*nods* "He seems to think Nii-san would not hurt them."

Mei's face paled. "Even if he doesn't hurt them, I'll be in serious trouble!"

*gently put his arm around her* "N..no..Ivan-san believes Nii-san would understand...since he has his own child.."

"Y-yeah.... But, he doesn't like us being together and..." She trailed off and fiddled with her hair nervously.

*Gently holds her close* "I know, Mei-chan but Ivan-san thinks having him talk to him is the best."

Mei bit her lip and hugged her knees close. She knew nothing good would come of this..
