wth is this BS about Grub not working on an xfs partition? Recommends lilo?

uhm..... grub worked with xfs (if i remember right)

ubuntu gives me a warning that grub on xfs can hang

and recommends using lilo

I want xfs because this is my mythtv box

mebbe your /boot partition can be ext3 and the rest can be xfs?

yep. Orchid pr0n overload. I'm trying to do an ext2 for the /boot and xfs for / hangs on the partition.

I don't need no stinking journal for the /boot partition!

ya. /boot is rarely written to, might as well be readonly

ext2 oughta be enough
