What is it??

It is an e-book reader that has a full color display. Besides reading books, it can be used for reading e-mail, internet browsing, etc.

So if this is new and only costs this much what are the older models going for? Like e-book, and the ipod one. Do they do the same thing?

I mean can't you read e-mail on them, too? What makes Nook Color different? Maybe I'm thinking of something else that can do all that.

I think you are thinking of an iPad from Apple. The iPad has a somewhat larger screen, making it less portable. It sells for $499.

The main difference is that the iPad is a tablet computer, and the Nook Color is an ebook reader that allows you to surf the 'net.

I ws talking to a gal who had a Nook reader...she said the Nook color is about double that figure. When she bought her reader they were

talking about the new color and quoted her that price. (Clerks that is.)
