I am going to to Nebraska to see family.

Matt and I are headed to my Aunt's house about 4 blocks away.

MO to see lots of family - but just for the day.

the fact I get to walk across the street to my in-laws...

We are lucky since my mom's and dad's families usually do Thanksgiving together these days.

Add to it, my mother-in-law just had surgery so my wife and I have to do most of the cooking because my sis-in law is expecting and can't ..

admittedly I am not at all envious of your holiday plans....

I hope you actually get a chance to relax at some point.

then I get to drive two hours with my fam to see my folks the day after, after waking at 3 am to forecheck for my wife as she shops.

I also have grad classes to work on and prog notes to write. I'll relax when I die.

and I really do feel for you. He is teaching, finishing up his master's this semester, coaching JH basketball, and is preaching this month.

it sounds like you could start a support group

This was part of the reason I didn't coach football for the first time in 7 yrs... No time for myself. Sadly now I have even less time.

I think the support group is called KNEA. I can't tell you a teacher that is actually doing their job that isn't going at both ends.

That is how my hubby feels too. You both sound like Gumby getting all stretched out.
